Prayer Wall

January 2, 2012

Welcome to 2012!

Are you ready to begin the sugar and fattening food detox? Geared up with your 2012 goals? How about spiritually? What would God ask of you in 2012?

As I thought of this, I am reminded of this verse:

Isaiah 62:6, which says ” O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls;  they will pray day and night, continually. Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord.” (NLT)

There is no doubt that God has called his people to pray continually.  Pray can often feel static. It seems very disconnected from the world. Yet, it doesn’t have to be!

We are in an exciting year. At the very end of 2011, we launched our GodLife prayer wall. At any time of the day or night, people can post their requests on there and also pray for others. Will you consider taking a few today, and throughout this week to pray for those who have posted something on the prayer wall? You can write them a response or simply click a button to let them know that someone has prayed for them.

Anyone can post and pray. So, feel free to invite your small group, friends, or family. The prayer wall is one way we can obey God and also stay focused on helping other’s online.

Here is another prayer request, from a girl who has written in:

    Dear Lord,

Please hear Therese’s cry for Your help and Your healing! You are the great Physician, and You listen, carefully, and patiently, to every request, taking them seriously. How we thank You, Lord, for such wonderful love and concern for us! Please make sure she is healthy, strong, and able to experience life normally. In Jesus’s Holy and Blessed Name, Amen!
