Giving Thanks!

November 25, 2009

Thanksgiving! Sure, for some people it is all about the food. Yet, others take this time to genuinely be grateful for all the wonderful blessings in their life. While we here at GMO can certainly appreciate the festivities of Thanksgiving, we are even more aware of the many blessings that God has poured out on us, both collectively and individually this year. So, listed in no particular order, here are some of the things we find ourselves thankful for this year:

  • Excited people who are ready to take the Great
    Commission Challenge
    head-on!
  • Godly leadership
  • The grace and vision given to our leadership. It’s one thing to be busy in ministry. It’s entirely different to know that your ministry is impacting lives.
  • The opportunity to watch millions of people search for spiritual truth online every day, and to be able to be there to provide them with the answer.
  • The opportunity to reach people in restricted countries through the Internet.
  • The gospel of Jesus is the most powerful force for salvation and transformation in the world.
  • In a world where so many people are just working to get a paycheck, by God’s grace we get to work every day to advance God’s eternal kingdom. AND we get a paycheck!
  • For coffee and warm socks (they can really help me get through the day)
  • New staff who have greatly helped with the workload.
  • For such a great job and team where it is fun to come to work everyday!
  • For my health being a lot better than it was (versus a year ago)!
  • The churches participating in the Church Partner Program are testifying to transformations of their members who have become online missionaries.
  • The amazing people I get to work with. I get to learn from the best and love the gracious spirit of the GMO staff.
  • For the way God has helped me to grow more in Him through relationships at GMO both with staff and with the contacts I have made as an Online Missionary!
  • For the perfect husband and an incredibly amazing family!
  • For our ministry partners who understand the vision of GMO and work hard to support us both financially and with their time.
  • For the grace that has been shown to the me this year as I navigated some personally difficult times.
